I am afraid, I was very disappointed with Miss Haoula. She didn't take my illness very seriously. I had a massive fibroid and she just ignore that size by saying: "oh this just nothing". Also I was explaining my pains but she ignore them just by saying that I have IBS and it is nothing to do with fibroid. I felt that she wants to get rid of me asap.

I had an appointment with Miss Haoula and I have been left more confused than prior to my consultation. She did not listen to me at all! I was previously informed that someone will call me to provide a solution to my problem. However, during the conversation, I was told that I will not be seen by a gynaecologist and if we regularly go to gynaecologist “in my country” that does not happen here in the UK (which is fair enough). However, I do not understand why my country was mentioned at all and what it has to do with this situation, in particular, considering that I’m a settled in the UK and contribute towards the NHS.

I had an appointment with her but decided not to follow through with treatment with herself and moved to another consultant as i felt throughout the whole appointment i wasn’t really being listened to and felt rushed as if she wanted the appointment to end. I didn’t feel at all reassured and felt extremely upset afterwards. I’m very glad i moved to another consultant.

Prior to surgery, she made me feel comfortable and was down to earth at my appointment. I had surgery for prolapse in Feb 18. It was on a Friday morning, she explained what had been done, but as I was still under effects from the drowsy drug, I'd been given, the details didn't sink in. When I asked the nurses the following day, they rang her to ask. She came back to the hospital especially to see me and explained what had been done.

I had a laparoscopy with her in October 2019 where she found and removed 4 patches of Endometriosis. I had a follow up appointment scheduled for February, however it got moved to January. In the appointment, it felt like she was in a huge rush. The whole appointment lasted about 3 minutes. She was friendly, but didn't listen to me when I told her how much pain I was still in. She was very dismissive, she said that the Endometriosis couldn't have come back that quick, told me to lose weight, and that she was discharging me from her care. That week I was in and out of hospital in severe pain. In the appointment I felt like she just wanted to be rid of me. Overall, I'm happy with how the surgery scars turned out, but sad that I'm still in a lot of pain and wasn't listened to. Now I have to start again with a referral from a GP.
